Back to Basics Newborn & Maternity Workshop June 3-4, 2023
Are you ready to up your game in the world of newborn photography? Are you a working newborn photographer that feels like you’ve hit a wall in your already established career? Or maybe you’re new to the biz and finally ready to learn all the tips and tricks to get your business rolling. Group workshops are a great way to gain insight from an experienced newborn photographer who has seen it all. Come learn about the business, ways to safely pose newborns and of course editing techniques that you can use to make your style your own. This will be a fun filled learning experience packed to the brim with everything you need to know about newborn and maternity photography. Let’s do this!!
June 3-4, 2023
Madrid, IA ( about 35 minutes northwest of Des Moines)
This will be a 2 day workshop. Anyone who has to travel is welcome to stay the night in my studio for no additional fee.
Total cost is $1200 with a $300 retainer due to hold your spot. Balance is due in full 1 week prior to workshop date.
Fine print:
-Travel and hotel fees not included
-You may not teach any of my methods for free or for payment for up to 1 year from workshop date
Additional Info:
Group workshops are not hands on but make sure you bring your camera (and trigger) along as you will be permitted to shoot all of the poses while learning different angles and for post processing later in the day so if you have a laptop, bring that as well. I also welcome behind-the-scenes shots as well!
If you would like additional 1:1 editing time with me and a custom lightroom preset, you can add that on for a one time only discount of $250.

Lunch and beverages both days provided by me.

10:00-1:00 First model arrives and we will go over beanbag/table and prop workflow
1:00-2:00 Lunch, post processing and Q&A
2:00-4:00 Second model arrives and we will cover parent/sibling shots
4:00-5:00 Post processing if needed, Q&A
6:30 1:1 editing for those who also booked that option
Day 2
9:00 Session prep
10:00-12:00 Model arrives and we will go over lifestyle posing with
baby and family in my natural light room
12:00 Lunch
1:00-2:00 Maternity model arrives and we will cover basic posing in my
natural light room
2:00 Post processing and Q&A
